Dr. DiRita's work has greatly increased our understanding of regulatory mechanisms in Vibrio cholerae.  He has been at the forefront of developing genetic tools to study Campylobacter jejuni, and has mentored students and postdocs who now have faculty positions in prominent institutions around the country.
